Suge Knight, former co-founder and CEO of the now defunct Death Row Records, was arrested in Compton, California after his involvement in a hit-and-run accident that left one man dead and another hospitalized. The incident occurred on the set of the film “Straight Out Of Compton”, which has seen critical claim in theaters across the US.
Knight is no stranger to the penal system. He had previously served 9 years in prison for a probation violation in February of 1997. He was released in August of 2001 only to go back to jail after hitting a parking lot attendant in 2003. This time it is unlikely that Knight will ever enjoy freedom again, as he is facing charges of first degree murder and aggravated assault on top of a slew of related charges.
It appears as if Knight has accepted his fate, and has reportedly decided to finally settle down with another man who is also currently incarcerated.
Sources close to Knight claim he has become intimately involved with another prisoner at the Los Angeles county correctional facility named, Raymond “Ray-Ray” Johnson. The two have frequently been spotted working out, walking the yard and even enjoying commissary treats together.
Suge Knight declined to give a comment to our reporters, but Thomas Barton, who is also incarcerated in the Los Angeles County Jail on a burglary charge confirmed the rumors, saying, “Yeah, they’re a couple. The rest of the guys in here don’t like it, and neither do the guards, but they have their own thing going. I don’t agree with being gay, but weird things happen when you’re locked up in here. Never know what’s gonna happen next.”
Dale McLaughlin, another long-time inmate reported observing similar behaviors in regards to Ray Ray and Suge’s budding prison romance. “That Ray Ray, he’s one of them girly-men, you dig what I’m saying? He wears lipstick and rouge made out of crushed up candy shells. Closest thing you can get to a female in the joint. But I ain’t hating. Ray even made Suge a birthday cake out of honey buns from commissary for his birthday when he was having a tough time keeping his chin up. Nothing wrong with that.”
